I have been writing since I was about seven, mainly poetry, journals and short stories. I was terrified of reading out loud in school, but loved being a book-a-holic and writing.
Over the years I’ve learnt that, for me, my best writing comes from connecting with experience and allowing that to find it’s way onto paper. |
I’ve had three different careers, which have been diverse and challenging and I am a mother, of twenty years, which has probably taught me more about life and myself than any other experience I’ve had.
My most recent career, before becoming a creative writing for wellbeing practitioner, was that of being a counsellor for over twenty years, which was a great privilege and a huge education. Writing has helped me to manage my emotions and come out the other side of those interesting times that we all go through. |
